One of the most important
concepts for us to learn and perfect is the idea of personal
responsibility. Every time that we see ourselves as a victim, blame
someone else rather than face the truth of our own making, trust
someone in "authority" rather than make the time and effort
to educate ourselves on our most important decisions or refuse to
consider an idea because it would hurt our material interests, we
give away our power and show that we prefer living in illusion,
limitation and separation. We have chosen to be here now. We chose

time, the place the
parents, the children, our spouse, most of the major experiences in
our lives and on occasion, even our profession, among other things.
The soul, the true "I" and "ego" made these plans
before birth and set them in motion so that our experiences would
bear spiritual fruit. We recognize that their may be pain,

fear and
even "death" but what are these trifles compared to the
joys and ecstasy of Love, freedom and Life eternal. We judge
eveything through our human experiences until we become aware of the
spiritual perception. We then begin to slowly perceive the place we
hold in the scheme of creation. How we are

solely responsible for
our own progress or lack of it depending on what we allow to attract
us, what we allow to distract us, what we will and won't put up
with and what we refuse to deal with. We see how we are made up of
smaller lives and how we are the cells that make up greater lives. It
follows that to act contrary to the best interests of any other life
is contrary to the life of the greater being that we are a part of,
which affects us negatively. Every act of intolerance, hate, apathy,
or cruelty towards another affects our spiritual progress directly
and, by diminishing the "other", slows the progress of the
life "in whom we live and move and have our being". The
Masters of Wisdom refer to Love as "Pure Reason". Probably
because acting out of Love is to their consciousness what common
sense is to ours. When you act in harmony with Life, all Life is
nourished. This, of course, includes you.
